Introduction:
Breast cancer is a real public health problem in Cameroon, where more patients with this cancer usually die a year after diagnosis, as it is still based on histological examination, mortality due to that cancer is far from decreasing. Since cancer is an accumulation of molecular changes at the genetic level, investigation as etiological factors in the African context is important. So we aimed to train medical facilitators to use molecular biology techniques to identify genetic variation for specific cancer diagnsotic in Cameroon.
Specifically we will train on :
1- General Molecular Biology Protocols
a- Sample collectio and storage
b- Genomic DNA Isolation
c- Protein extraction
d- RNA extraction
e- cDNA preparation/ RTPCR
f- Gel electrophoresis
2- PCR
a- Allell specific PCR
b- Nested/ Hemi nested PCR
c- Real time PCR
d- PCR-RFLP
3- DNA Methyllation study
4- Immuno Blotting
Period :
We will spend three days to train health workers on molecular biology techniques from 25 October to 27 October 2021
Place of training:
The train will take place at Ecotourism Park of Cameroon
