The concept
For thousands of years, Science as a body of knowledge but also a way of approaching and understanding the world has been formed and has progressively evolved towards the Science we know today. Digitalization has come into play and just accelerated this evolution. Science now resorts to a complexity of data which requires a perfect mastery of their treatment. From expression of RNAs and proteins, to metabolism, through the large number of large-scale scientific studies, data are becoming more complex and larger. It is more and more crucial, for researchers, to master the tools needed to manage such complex data. The different sectors of science, hospitals, agribusiness, the environment and basic research need researchers with not only the ability to generate data, but also analytical skills in analyzing these large amounts of heterogeneous data. It is with the aim of bridging this gap in the processing of scientific study data that this training was born.
Learning objectives
This training will enable the researcher to:
– To master the information techniques associated with the analysis and modeling of biomedical data, data mining, Big Data.
– Master the design and interrogation of databases
– Take charge autonomously in development and learning projects in various programming languages, propose innovative IT solutions and carry out analyzes and developments necessary to test new hypotheses for the living.

This training workshop will take 05 days from 15th to 19th November 2021 at Ecopark Ahala-Yaounde Cameroon

1. Target audience are Master 2 and PHD students or young graduates from any University of CEMAC zone, enrolled in one of the following disciplines: biomedical sciences, biochemistry, computational sciences or related fields with basic knowledge in biostatistics
